I also asked users how they prefer to hear the pedals they intend to purchase.

The most important thing to know about a pedal when making or researching a purchase is how the pedal sounds. I wanted to know how users preferred to hear the sound of a pedal they were interested in. After the 5 aforementioned users performed the card sort, I asked them the following question:

When you want to know how a pedal sounds, are you more likely to seek out a video demo or listen to audio samples?

ANALYSIS

4 out of 5 users responded that they seek out video when they want to know how a pedal sounds.

INSIGHT

These decisive results indicated that the design would need to feature video heavily.
